Returnable & Non-Returnable Items
Afrikobo is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction by providing a clear return policy. Below is a list of items that can and cannot be returned, along with reasons for their eligibility.
Returnable Items
The following items can be returned within 7 days of delivery if they meet the return policy guidelines:
1. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
- Items that arrive with defects, damage, or are different from what was ordered.
- Reason: Customers should receive items in perfect condition and as described in their orders.
2. Unopened Electronics & Appliances
- Mobile phones, laptops, televisions, and other electronic devices (must be sealed and unused).
- Reason: If the item is defective or incorrect, a return is allowed. However, it must be in its original packaging with all accessories.
3. Fashion Items (Clothing, Shoes, Accessories)
- Unworn unwashed clothing, shoes, and accessories with all original tags attached.
- Reason: Fashion items can be returned if they don't fit or if the customer receives the wrong size or style.
4. Home & Office Products
- Furniture, home decor, and office supplies (must be unused and in original packaging).
- Reason: Customers may return these items if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
5. Beauty & Personal Care Items (Sealed & Unused)
- Skincare products, perfumes, and grooming tools.
- Reason: These can be returned only if they are unopened and in their original packaging to maintain hygiene standards.
6. Auto & Industrial Items
- Car accessories, industrial tools, and hardware.
- Reason: These items can be returned if they are defective or not as described.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned due to health, safety, and quality assurance reasons:
1. Personal Care & Hygiene Products
- Used makeup, skincare, haircare, and grooming products.
- Reason: For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used personal care products cannot be resold.
2. Underwear, Swimwear & Socks
- Lingerie, swimwear, and Socks.
- Reason: Due to hygiene concerns, these items are not eligible for returns.
3. Food & Perishable Goods
- Fresh and packaged food, beverages, and supplements.
- Reason: These items have expiration dates and must remain in a controlled environment to ensure customer safety.
4. Health & Medical Supplies
- Face masks, thermometers, medical kits, and supplements.
- Reason: Health-related products cannot be resold once opened due to contamination risks.
5. Digital Products & Software
- E-books, software licenses, and gift cards.
- Reason: Digital items are non-refundable as they cannot be physically returned.
6. Customized & Final Sale Items
- Engraved jewellery, custom-made clothing, and printed materials.
- Reason: These items are unique to the customer and cannot be resold.
7. Clearance & Final Sale Items
- Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase.
- Reason: These items are sold at a discount with the understanding that they cannot be returned.
Important Notes:
- Items must be returned in their original packaging with all tags, accessories, and receipts included.
- If a return request does not meet the guidelines, it may be rejected, and the item will be sent back to the customer.
- Customers should initiate return requests through their Afrikobo account within the allowed time frame.
